Summary of the scope of work
NM State University had hired Biesek Design out of California to design their new interior and exterior sign standard. CSB won a competitive bid to fabricate and install these signs.
In addition to the interior signs need for the renovation of Zuhl Library. CSB fabricated and installed many of the new proposed exterior sign types throughout the campus. NM State University is waiting the funding to continue the exterior sign program.
In the original Biesek design, the exterior signs were specified to have bands of color made of porcelain. In order to value engineer the project, CSB did two prototypes for NMSU – one with the porcelain band and one with a band of digital print. This was done with the consideration that the porcelain band would “out last” the other sign substrates selected by Beisek Design.
