UNMH Children’s Hospital
Exterior and Interior Signage
Custom illuminated exterior signs guide visitors/patients to the correct parking structure and the new drop-off/pickup lanes.
The UNMH Children’s Hospital & Emergency Addition (The Barbara + Bill Richardson Pavilion) is a 495,000 s.f. addition to the University Hospital complex. The project is focused on a new Women’s and Children’s Hospital, New Emergency Department and New Critical Care/I.C.U. Department and associated support spaces.
Century Sign Builders provided the design, project management, fabrication, installation, and continual maintenance for this interior and exterior project. The building is six stories tall and placed to the west of the existing UNM Main Hospital and Outpatient Service Unit. In addition, the visitor/patient parking was moved from a location across the street to a location west of the Pavilion. All of these additions/moves presented several wayfinding challenges. Our Diversity product was used throughout the building as it provided our client with:
The most integrated options of sign types (room signs to floor mounted kiosks).
A medium-range budget sign package.
A very cost effective signage package with regard to updateability and maintenance.
